James C. Best received his juris doctorate from the University of Miami.
Thereafter, Mr. Best began working as an Assistant Public Defender in
Miami-Dade County where he participated in countless jury trials. His abilities
were such that he soon became the training attorney for the County Court
Division, teaching and mentoring all county-level public defenders.
Mr. Best was a senior trial attorney for the Miami firm of Essen & Essen for
two years and went on to become the founder of Best & Associates, P.A.
where his focus remained on DUI defense in South Florida.
Mr. Best is a recurring speaker at Florida Bar sponsored seminars including
the Masters of DUI and has served as lead counsel in over 100 jury trials.

Joseph P. Vredevelt received his juris doctorate from Thomas M.
Cooley Law School. Thereafter, Mr. Vredevelt became the
founding partner of Joseph P. Vredevelt, P.A. in Grand Rapdis,
Michigan where he concentrated in criminal defense and property
transactions.
Upon moving to Miami Mr. Vredevelt volunteered his time at the
Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office and then became an
associate and eventual partner at Best & Associates.
Joseph Vredevelt is barred in both Florida and Michigan.
Additionally he is barred in the Federal Courts for the Southern
District of Florida and the Eastern District of Michigan.
